An electronic copy of a thesis or dissertation is required from all graduate students. A project to scan print theses and dissertations has greatly enhanced the historical content in Scholar Works and content continues to be added on a regular basis as students defend and submit to us their completed work. Students do not submit their work directly to Scholar Works. Only large-scale repositories of dissertations and theses are included here. You may also need to search individual university repositories directly.
The Australasian Digital Theses Program ceased operation on 28 March, 2011. The content of that database is accessible from the National Library of Australia’s Trove service. Each participating university continues to host their own digital theses and house their own print and other non-digital theses. American Doctoral Dissertations, a free resource accessible to all researchers, provides electronic access to the only comprehensive record of dissertations accepted by American universities. It contains more than 172,000 theses and dissertations in total from 1902 to the present. DART-Europe is a partnership of research libraries and library consortia who are working together to improve global access to European research theses.
